US Layoffs — July 2025
The US labor market showed signs of rising strain as employers submitted 505 WARN Act notices in July 2025, putting at risk an estimated 43,599 workers — up substantially from June and up 90% versus July 2024. Filings came from 40 states and territories, with an average of 86 workers per notice.
