US Layoffs — July 2019
The US labor market showed continued flux as employers submitted 280 WARN Act notices in July 2019, putting at risk an estimated 24,018 workers — down from June and roughly flat versus July 2018. Filings came from 40 states and territories, with an average of 86 workers per notice.
